    "His quiet and steadfast counsel and support of The Queen, is perhaps his greatest if unquantifiable contribution to our nation's history.

    "At this sad time for millions, we should never forget Prince Philip was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. So our thoughts must be with the whole Royal Family, but in particular with The Queen at this difficult time."

    As the Black Lives Matter protests highlighted so powerfully, too many people's lives both in the UK and across the world are blighted by discrimination, inequality and injustice. It is unacceptable.

    There is still so much to do to tackle racial injustice in our country.

    Black and Asian children are more than twice as likely to grow up in persistent poverty as White children. Gypsy, Roma and Traveller, Black Caribbean and mixed-race children are significantly more likely to be excluded from school than other pupils.

    On BBC Newsnight the Conservative Leader of South Norfolk Council John Fuller said "let's not have a system whereby if you catch Covid you get £500 that's an incentive to spread the disease."

    Liberal Democrat Group leader on Norfolk County Council Steff Aquarone said "The idea that people would want to get a disease that could kill them for just £500 is inhumane. It is deeply insulting to all those people who have lost a loved one and to everyone who has sacrificed so much to follow the rules despite the financial cost.
