Josie Ratcliffe is your Liberal Democrat candidate for South West Norfolk! Here's her letter to voters ahead of the election so you can find out about her liberal values and the vision she has for our constituency:

This General Election is your opportunity to vote for the person you want to represent our area at Westminster for the next five years. I was proud to be elected as a local Councillor five years ago, and very grateful to be re- elected last year by the residents that I represent.

Now I am delighted to have been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate to contest the South West Norfolk constituency. If elected, I will be joining a committed and effective team of Liberal Democrat MPs who have a record of working hard for their constituents. The new “Right to Carer’s Leave” Act was proposed in Parliament by a Lib Dem MP, and we will continue to fight for increased Carer’s Allowance and a Carer’s Minimum Wage, plus compensation for thousands of 1950s-born women in South West Norfolk who lost out because of the ‘WASPI’ Pensions scandal.

I am proud to be representing the Liberal Democrats’ bold (and fully-costed) plan for saving the NHS. We have all been failed by the Conservative government’s broken promises on waiting lists, GP recruitment and access to dentists. And we are desperate for work to start on replacing the crumbling RAAC-built Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Liberal Democrats will also invest in renewable power and home insulation to bring down energy bills and create clean, secure, well-paid jobs. And we will tackle the sewage crisis with a tough new regulator and a new Blue Flag status for rivers. The Conservatives are taking our votes for granted, so I believe this is the time for change.

I would be honoured to be elected as the MP for South West Norfolk and I will fight for our community, our businesses and our environment.

- Josie
